The Manuel de Oráa y Arcocha Prize, organised by the Official College of Architects of Tenerife, La Gomera and El Hierro, recognises the best completed works in the islands over a three-year period, celebrating excellence across new builds, restorations, interiors, landscape, and public space. In its 2018–2020 edition—formally presented during the Architecture Week on October 8, 2021—three of our projects were selected for the catalogue: Casa La Toscalera, Church of Alcalá, and Casa Diablos Locos, also included in the exhibition.
Seeing these works featured together maps a story of thoughtful presence across a restored patio, a coastal church, and an old house returned to life—all rooted in local context and materiality. Far beyond award labels, their inclusion feels like a sincere nod to projects that chose care over scale, and connection over spectacle.
