AV Monografías 243–244: Spain 2022 gathers 24 architectural works that define the spirit of contemporary Spanish architecture in the wake of the pandemic. Among them, our project Iglesia de Alcalá stands as a quiet testimony to memory and reconstruction—honoring the absence of the former temple while projecting a renewed spiritual space. Through drawings, photographs, and critical commentary, the publication places the work within a wider cultural and material context.
To be included in this annual selection is more than recognition—it is a shared breath with those who build meaning through space. In these pages, our work becomes part of a greater story, one that speaks softly of silence, light, and the timeless task of beginning again.
