The Enor Architecture Awards honor built works within Spain that exemplify thoughtful responses to heritage, material humility, and spatial poetry. In 2018, our St John Baptist Chapel—a 77 m² triangular sanctuary already celebrated at the Venice Biennale and winner of the Building of the Year Award—was selected for inclusion in the official awards catalogue.
Perched gently in El Hierro, its austere concrete walls and precise geometry are designed to align light, ritual, and memory along a singular axis. Entering its tapering interior is to step into a meditative pause, where time contracts and the triangle—a symbol of the Trinity—unfolds through form and material .
This recognition feels profoundly personal. To be inscribed within the Enor catalogue is to have our quiet chapel acknowledged as a vessel of contemplation. In the muted hush of its walls, architecture becomes prayer—and this gesture of inclusion is a whisper of solidarity with that stillness
